The Centre for Nutrition Education (CNE)
Our primary aim at CNE is to provide you with a programme of academic and clinical excellence in nutrition within a friendly and supportive environment so that you can work effectively as a practitioner with individuals to help optimise wellness, prevent disease and to implement appropriate nutrition protocols during illness.
CNE teach the BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy for Middlesex University and is part of their School of Health and Social Sciences. The quality of academic provision delivered by the School was recognised in April 2000 and with two Quality Assurance Awards of 'EXCELLENT' for 'Nursing and Midwifery' and 'Subjects Allied to Health'.
CNE believes that it has structured a very attainable degree programme and several of our full-time students manage to work 3 days a week in term time and full time during term breaks. Others manage their study time and their family commitments effectively. However, there is always the option to start with, or convert to, a part-time study programme.
If you are an existing nutritional therapist and/or hold a life science degree, or are already a trained therapist then it should be possible for you to upgrade/convert your existing qualifications to BSc Hons Nutritional Therapy at CNE. Alternatively, modules can be taken for continuing professional development. Existing students of other colleges can, as appropriate, take CNE modules alongside their existing training course for top-up, or towards a final degree outcome. CNE is committed to ensuring that applicants are treated solely on their merits and promoting equal opportunities and we currently have students from a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
